Elizabeth Hutchinson
Elizabeth Hutchinson is a landscape designer and horticulturist whose work is grounded in a deep love of plants and the ways they shape our experience of a place. She believes gardens bring qualities that built form alone cannot, cooling spaces, filtering light, creating shelter and encouraging a connection to the natural world.

Her background spans horticulture and multidisciplinary design, an influence that continues to inform her approach to gardens. It has shaped a strong sensitivity to texture, composition and materiality, allowing her to create layered palettes where planting, stone, timber and other natural materials work together as one. She is drawn to enduring, tactile materials and the richness that comes from uniquely considered combinations rather than singular gestures.

With years designing within leading landscape studios, Elizabeth approaches gardens as living systems that deepen and evolve over time. Much of her work begins with what already exists. Mature trees, planting and the character of a site provide the framework from which landscapes can grow. She is particularly interested in the sense of envelopment a garden can create, the comfort of moving beneath a canopy and the subtle ways planting influences mood, temperature and everyday life.
Olaf Isaachsen
Olaf Isaachsen is a landscape architect whose work is shaped by a background in landscape management and installation, giving him a grounded understanding of how landscapes are built, inhabited and cared for over time. His experience spans private gardens, multi residential developments, commercial precincts, high rise projects and public realm upgrades.

Working across both design and construction has fostered a practical approach and a deep appreciation for the relationship between detail, materiality and long term performance. He is particularly interested in landscapes that support community life, strengthen connections to place and contribute positively to the environments they occupy.

For Olaf, landscape architecture presents an opportunity to create lasting and meaningful places that bring joy and wellbeing to everyday life. He is drawn to projects that balance ecological value with human experience, recognising the role landscapes play in shaping how people gather, move and belong.

Olaf combines thoughtful design with a strong understanding of delivery, ensuring each project realises its full potential while remaining responsive to site, client aspirations and the people who will ultimately inhabit it.

Every project is different, and so is the level of support required. We can provide a complete service from the first conversations and concepts through to documentation, procurement, construction coordination and the final placement of every plant, or step in where needed.

While our involvement is tailored to each project, we see our greatest value in remaining engaged through delivery. Plant procurement and on site placement are a specialised part of our practice and are fundamental to the way we work. We source plants from specialist growers across Australia, selecting the exact species, cultivars and forms that are right for each individual garden. This stage is critical to the success and character of a landscape, influencing not only how it looks on day one, but how it establishes, evolves over time.

The drawings provide the framework, but it is often on site, among the plants themselves, that the essence of a garden emerges. These final stages are where texture, seasonality and character are carefully composed, creating landscapes that feel wholly their own, and are ultimately what set our projects apart.
